Oilersnation Radio: Should the Oilers give Olivier Rodrigue a chance?
By baggedmilk1 month ago
It’s a Friday afternoon, the Oilers picked up a win in their first game back from the Christmas break, and that means there’s plenty to talk about on this last episode of Oilersnation Radio. This week, we looked at last night’s win over San Jose, the three-game win streak, and what they need to do to keep the ball rolling.
Kicking off the pod, we started with a conversation about Christmas and how everyone has been doing over the last week since our last episode of ONR. As much as it was nice to have a break, the boys were eager to get back to work and talk about the Oilers’ three-game win streak. Starting with Friday’s win over the New York Rangers, we looked at everything the Oilers are doing that is making them successful and whether or not they’ll be able to keep the ball rolling over the remainder of this three-game road trip. Changing gears, we looked at the goaltending situation here in Edmonton after Olivier Rodrigue’s AHL heater grabbed everyone’s attention, given that he has the best save% in the minors. Would it make sense to give Rodrigue a taste of NHL action, or would the organization be better served to let him keep working on his game with the Condors? Lastly, we closed out the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with another round of Hot and Cold performers to break down everything that’s happened over the last seven days.
