Oilersnation Radio: The Oilers have the opportunity to catch the Pacific Division

It’s a Friday afternoon, the Oilers picked up a win in their first game back from the Christmas break, and that means there’s plenty to talk about on this last episode of Oilersnation Radio. This week, we looked at last night’s win over San Jose, the three-game win streak, and what they need to do to keep the ball rolling.
Kicking off the pod, we started with an argument about John Tortorella refusing to talk about Connor McDavid after the Oilers’ victory over the Flyers earlier in the week. While Baggedmilk was just trying to recap the week, having Tortorella not talk about the captain was enough to enrage the boys. Getting the podcast back on the rails, we looked ahead at the trade deadline and what would be the Oilers’ biggest need heading into the annual swap and shop. From there, we looked at the the All-Star game selections that came out yesterday, and how Liam had a real problem with some of the names that were included on that list. Needless to say, talking about the ASG turned into a spicier conversation than anyone likely expected. On the bright side, talking All-Star game did give the guys the opportunity to talk about voting Zach Hyman as an Oilers representative that weekend. Lastly, we closed out the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with another round of Hot and Cold performers to break down everything that’s happened over the last seven days.
