The playoffs, they are unpredictable at the best of times. Monday night’s Game One was no different. Between a glitch that caused the game to shut down after regulation tied 2-2 to the Canucks scoring on themselves twice, it was fun and so we are back for some more and to tie the series before we head to Vancouver tomorrow night for Game Three. First things first as tonight at 7PM MT we will be streaming the Oilers/Canucks game right here in this article.
We hope you’ll think about sticking around to watch with us.
About 15 minutes prior to game time, the stream will be live here:

Recap of Game One:

ICYMI: Game One of the playoffs was riddled with issues. Between a glitch that closed the game at the end of OT, to a game overwriting my save when I tried to redo the sim. Fear not, however, because I took the time to go through and replay the game to get the end result of an OTL.
Here is the goal summary that you “missed”:
1st-
VAN – 5:20 Horvat (Miller, Hughes)
EDM – 7:26 Jones (Khaira)
VAN – 7:58 Pearson
2nd-
EDM – 13:07 Archibald (Sheahan)
3rd-
VAN – 0:58 Toffoli
EDM – 18:53 Sheahan (Ennis, Nurse)
1OT-
VAN – 9:09 Toffoli (Miller)
Not the perfect score, but it makes as much sense as anything that the EA gords would allow.

The Jerseys:

You asked and so we are going to leave our nightly jersey match up, to you fans on our social media and so stay tuned to that.

The Lineups:

You gave me the honour (and the curse haha) of setting the lineups for the boys on a nightly basis, and so I will. Tonight’s lineups:

The Forwards:

Ennis – McDavid – Kassian
RNH – NeonLeon – Yam
AA – Sheahan – Archie
Neal – Haas – Chiasson

The Defence:

Klef – Larsson
Nurse – Bear
Jones – Benning

The Netminder:

@Mikko Koskinen

Around the rest of the playoffs –

Previous updates:
Day Two

Game 1 Vegas/Calgary final score: 4-0 Calgary (Series 1-0 CGY)

The @Calgary Flames struck early and didn’t let up as the Golden Knights fall on home ice to open the series. @Dave Rittich picks up where he left off after the stick flip and puts in a 28 save shutout effort.

CGY – 1:41 Andersson (Gaudreau, Lindholm)
CGY – 15:06 Bennett (Jankowski, Gustafsson)

2. CGY Andersson (1G)
1. CGY D. Rittich (28 save shutout)

Game 1 Washington/Carolina final score: 3-2 Carolina (Series 1-0 CAR)

Too little too late for the Capitals in this one. The Hurricanes come into DC and take Game One in a tight one.

1st –

CAR – 18:34 Dzingel (Edmundson, Slavin)

2nd –

WSH – 2:24 Hathaway (Carlson, Dowd)
CAR – 3:19 Necas (Trocheck, Neiderreiter)

3rd-

CAR – 6:25 Svechnikov (Slavin, Teravainen)
WSH – 19:46 Panik (Kovalchuk, Dowd)

Three Fists-

2. CAR N. Dowd (2A)
1. CAR J. Slavin (2A)

Game 1 Philadelphia/Pittsburgh final score: 4-1 Philadelphia (Series 1-0 PHI)

The Flyers survive an early explosion of shots (15 first period shots) and then fall behind early in the second before responding with four straight of their own. These two teams do not like each other as @Evgeni Malkin took a double minor for high sticking late in the second and from then on it seemed like every whistle was a scrum to be broken up by the refs. Look forward to this series.

1st –

No Goals

2nd –

PIT – 2:45 Letang (Marleau, Tanev)
PHI – 5:04 Laughton (Konecny, Hagg)
PHI – 11:47 Braun (Van Riemsdyk, Pitlick)
