Prospect Update: Kailer Instincts on display in the CHL

Kailer Yamamoto is coming into his own in the CHL once more. He was named player of the week for the WHL this week and had a whopping nine points in two games for the week. Elsewhere in the CHL, Kirill Maxsimov had a six point in three games effort with Niagara, and Tyler Benson had five in the same number of games for the Giants of Vancouver.
Goalie transaction chaos this week. With Talbot being down with the sickness, LB was called up to back-up Montoya. Unfortunately for the Oilers, the day before traded Ed Pasquale to Tampa. That left the Condors with no goalies for their one game on Friday. The ECHL affiliate Thunder then went without Oilers prospects as both Ellis and Starrett got the call to the AHL. The Condors got shellacked 8-0 and Starrett is now down to the ECHL. LB was sent down to the AHL after the Thursday game as well. Seems simple enough, no?
I must take a moment to hand out some credit where it is due. If you followed “Weekend Update” from LT over the years, you’ll notice I have taken over and have given it a little different flair so to speak. That said I have to show appreciation to the person running @EdProspectsWatch who I end up using a lot of their videos to supplement. Usually where team feeds don’t have as much content. So thank you to the folks behind that account.
Speaking of highlights, you’ll excuse me if the highlights are a little lighter this week from the AHL. One game, no goals.
