Real Life Podcast: Jay’s birthday, Tyler’s trip to Philly, and killing off the Elf on the Shelf

Kicking off the Thursday episode of the podcast, the guys got started with a tribute to Jay Downton as he was celebrating his birthday, prompting everyone to talk about how they celebrated earlier birthdays. Changing gears, Tyler gave a quick recap of his trip to Philly and how it was a magical experience to be down on the field for a Buffalo Bills game. He also talked about going to Hamilton and Book of Mormon and how he enjoyed both shows immensely even though he didn’t really know what to expect from either of them. Changing gears, Chalmers asked for advice about what to do with his Elf on the Shelf. After playing the game with his boys for years, Chalmers is tired of the stress of finding new places for the elf to sit for 25 straight days. Somehow, talking about Elf on a Shelf led the guys to tell stories about their houses almost burning down. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a dose of Oilers talk after the team rattled off three wins in a row.
