It’s a frosty Thursday in Edmonton, the Oilers have won three straight games, and the World Cup, which means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a whole lot to talk about. On today’s show, the guys looked at hat choices, the World Cup, the Oilers’ weird win in Chicago, and more.
Kicking off today’s podcast, the guys started a conversation about fashion after Jason Gregor called Tyler out for wearing his hat backward. That led the guys to discuss which hats would look the best on them, including a walk through on all of the historical hats Chalmers has worn. From there, the guys started arguing about the World Cup again after Canada wrapped up their trip to the tournament with three-straight losses. Despite everyone saying once again that even being at the World Cup is a small win for Canadian soccer, Chalmers tripled down on his disappointment that the men’s team didn’t win a game. Turning to the Oilers, the guys looked at last night’s win and how it was one of the weirder wins you will see in quite some time. Somehow talking about the Oilers led the guys to discuss the Christmas season, and how he’s already stressing about the Elf on a Shelf duties again his year. Getting back to the Oilers, the guys touched briefly on tonight’s matchup vs. the Minnesota Wild and how this seems like it’s going to be a tough one for the boys, especially when you consider that they haven’t beat this team in their last six tries.
