Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Never in my life would I have imagined the Edmonton Oilers to be in line to tie an NHL record for the longest win streak when they kicked off the year with a 2-9-1 record, but here we are. Tonight, the boys have the chance at a 17-game win streak, which would match that of the 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins as the best of all time. What a trip, you know?
Now we get a chance to watch our boys tie a three-decade-old NHL record, and I could not be more excited that it could happen against the Vegas Golden Knights. Given the recent history between these two teams, you know that both sides are going to be fired up to play, and I’m incredibly amped to watch what happens.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I use for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Player Prop:

Leon Draisaitl over 2.5 shots at -125. My $5 bet would return $9.00.

Easy Money:

Over 60.5 total shots on goal at -116. My $5 bet would return $9.34.

Risky Business:

Zach Hyman and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +350. My $5 bet would return $22.50.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Oilers to win and over 5.5 total goals at +170. My $5 bet would return $10.75.

Last Game

I love nothing more than seeing the Nashville Predators logo on the schedule because the Oilers absolutely own them right now. As expected, the boys ran the show against the Preds in their last game of the month and that dominance resulted in a perfect month of January, which was only the third time in NHL history where that’s happened.
Here’s what I bet against the Predators:
  • Leon Draisaitl anytime goal scorer at +105. ✅
  • Over 62.5 total shots on goal at -116.
  • Leon Draisaitl over 3+ points at +333. ✅
  • Edmonton Oilers win and over 5.5 total goals at +115.
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Golden Knights.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
