Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
You have to call tonight’s contest against the Anaheim Ducks a must-win game at this stage, don’t you? No, I don’t mean that the Oilers would get eliminated from the playoffs if they lost, but any outcome other than a win would certainly be a disaster, especially after the way things played out on Monday in LA. In my heart of hearts, I expect the Oilers to come out and run the show against a team like this, but I also know that the Ducks are 3-3 in their last six games and that means there are no easy outs here.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Ducks:

Player Prop:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +250. My $5 bet would return $17.50.

Easy Money:

Over 1.5 total power play goals at +100. My $5 bet would return $10.00.

Risky Business:

Oilers to win every period at +650. My $5 bet would return $36.25.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton over Anaheim on the money line, Toronto over Nashville on the money line, and Washington over Philly on the money line at 3.49. My $5 bet would return $17.49.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t still mad about that loss to the Los Angeles Kings, and even though I came out even on my bets for the night, I would have much rather lost a few shekels and had the Oilers win the game. That’s what makes betting on this team so hard, man, because you just never know what you’re going to get.
  • Connor McDavid anytime goal scorer at +105. ✅
  • A power play goal in the first period at +125. ✅
  • Edmonton Oilers to win and Connor McDavid to score 2+ points at +200.
  • Buffalo over Philly on the money line, and Seattle over Montreal on the money line at 2.16.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Ducks.
