Risky Business: Looking for a Festivus Miracle

If ever there was a game that the Oilers should win, it’s probably tonight against a Canucks team that has been horrible over the last few weeks and is coming into this thing on the second half of a back-to-back set. If that’s not enough of a reason for you then how about the fact that Vancouver will be playing their third-string goaltender? That said, I also know that these are the circumstances when the Oilers usually shit themselves so maybe I shouldn’t be feeling quite so confident. Either way, I believe the boys are going to head into the break on a high note and that’s why I’ll be putting my money where my mouth is and predicting a lopsided performance for the good guys. Will I make money or will I get burned? Only time will tell.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Canucks:
Player Prop:
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 1.5 at +125. My $5 bet would return $11.25.
Easy Money:
Over 1.5 total power play goals at -145. My $5 bet would return $8.50.
Risky Business:
Oilers to win every period at +725. My $5 bet would return $43.75.
Can’t Miss Parlay:
Edmonton over Vancouver on the moneyline, Dallas over Montreal on the moneyline, and Carolina over Philly on the moneyline at 2.50. My $5 bet would return $12.50.

Once again, my favourite bet of the year keeps hitting but that’s all I got despite the fact that the Oilers managed to put six goals up on the board. Either way, I’m still happy about the performance even though I ended up taking a swift kick to the shin overall.
Leon Draisaitl over 3.5 shots at +110.- Over 1.5 total power play goals at -125. ✅
Connor McDavid and Jason Robertson both to score at +275.Minnesota over San Jose on the moneyline and Toronto over Philly on the moneyline at 2.22.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Canucks.
