Risky Business: Collecting Capital

Risky Business is brought to you by NHL Lines site Betway!
Looking at the matchup between the Oilers and Capitals, the first thing you notice is how many players Washington is missing and how that should mean a glorious opportunity for our boys to pick up their fifth win in their last six games. That said, I’ve also been a fan of this hockey team for my entire life and know that there’s no such thing as a free lunch. The last time these two teams met, I also thought that the Oilers should win but knew that it wasn’t going to be easy, and that’s why I wasn’t at all surprised to see them lose. Will our fortunes be different today? Will the Oilers play up to their potential even though they too are missing some key contributors in their lineup? We shall see.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Capitals:

Player Prop:

Zach Hyman over 3.5 shots at +100. My $5 bet would return $10.00.

Easy Money:

Over 1.5 total power play goals at -118. My $5 bet would return $9.25.

Risky Business:

Leon Draisaitl and Alex Ovechkin both to score at +300. My $5 bet would return $20.00.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton over Washington on the ML, Colorado over Philly on the ML, and Calgary over Arizona on the ML at 3.22. My $5 bet would return $16.10.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game

Is it any surprise that my betting game has improved alongside the Oilers’ recent improvement? No? I didn’t think so either, but I’m pretty damned happy about it, to say the least. Can we repeat again tonight? Dare to dream.
  • Evan Bouchard over 2.5 shots at +110.
  • Over 1.5 total power play goals at -105. ✅
  • Zach Hyman to register 2+ points at +167. ✅
  • Edmonton over Montreal on the ML, Minnesota over Anaheim on the ML, and New Jersey over Philly on the ML at 2.85. ✅
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Capitals.
