<p>Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.</p>
<p>To kick off this week’s segment, we got started by educating me on the Jimmy bit they always run when he&#8217;s on vacation that he&#8217;s down in Taber for Corn Fest even though that&#8217;s not actually happening until August. My favourite part of the bit is that it&#8217;s so dumb but still manages to annoy people anyway. Speaking of annoying people, we then dove into the Darnell Nurse quotes that came out this week where he feels as though <a href="https://publish.oilersnation.com/2023/07/24/darnell-nurse-i-feel-like-ive-been-blamed-for-everything-from-a-goal-against-to-the-traffic-on-stony-plain/">he&#8217;s blamed for everything from goals against to the traffic on Stony Plain Road</a>. From my perspective, the hate for Darnell Nurse based on his contract reminds me a lot of what used to happen when Shawn Horcoff was around. While there&#8217;s no doubt that Nurse can be better than he was at points last season, I do think some of the discourse around him gets way out of hand. Lastly, we wrapped up this week&#8217;s segment with a look at the Ryan McLeod contract and whether or not I think the team will be able to get it done before his arbitration date on August 4th.</p>
