Baggedmilk on #theLOCKERROOM: Back to Basics

Good morning, fair Internet compatriates, and welcome to yet another edition of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in local Edmonton radio. As I do every Wednesday, I jumped on with the boys on The Locker Room for a few minutes to talk about Oilers, what’s been going on around the NHL, and try to make sense of this crazy life we’re living.
To kick off this week’s appearance, we jumped in with a look at the Toronto Maple Leafs and whether or not they’re actually as good as their record would indicate. While I would certainly agree that this is a good team, they’re nowhere close to being unbeatable so the amount of love they’re getting for being the diamonds of the North Division seems a little much to me. Are they good? Yes. Are they unbeatable? No. From there, we looked at what needs to happen for the boys to get back in the win column, and for me, I honestly think they’ll be fine provided that they could get even average goaltending that doesn’t put them behind by a goal or two in the opening moments. Needless to say, it’s hard to win hockey games in the NHL when you’re trailing from the jump and that’s a problem the Oilers will need to rectify if they’re going to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Leafs.
