Hello, dear Internet friends, it’s time, once again, for your ol’ pal Baggedmilk to jump on the Cruz FM airwaves with the folks on The Locker Room to talk about Oilers, what’s been going on with the team, and why we all love to argue about it.
Kicking off this week’s appearance, we jumped in with a look at the @Matthew Tkachuk shenanigans that’s been happening down in Calgary this week. If you missed it, Tkachuk raised eyebrows when he threw a knee at Jack Campbell in a scrum in the first game of their two-game series, and last night, Jake Muzzin flipped a puck at him after the Leafs’ win that caused another melee. Personally, I’m choosing to ignore the Tkachuk nonsense but rather to focus on how much I love the Canadian Division. Teams are starting to hate each other and it’s been a lot of fun to watch. Back to the Oilers, we spent a few minutes discussing @Jesse Puljujarvi’s start to the season, specifically how good he’s looked so far and how he seems to be playing with way more confidence than we’ve seen in the past. I know it’s still early in his return, but I’ve been pleased with Puljujarvi’s game so far and actually think it’s bad luck that he hasn’t gotten on the board yet. On the flip side, we also looked at @Zack Kassian’s game and while he has played better over the last couple of nights, we wondered whether or not the lack of fans is affecting the way he plays. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s performance with a quick preview of the upcoming Oilers/Leafs series that is set to kick off at Rogers Place tomorrow night.
