Baggedmilk on #theLOCKERROOM: Oilers prospects in Europe and beer league hockey

The offseason rolls on for our beloved Oilers and another Wednesday on the calendar meant another chance for your boy to jump on the radio with the guys from The Locker Room to discuss all things hockey and life in general.
To kick off today’s appearance, I was asked about Ken Holland shipping off a bunch of players to Europe for the start of the season, including Evan Bouchard who was announced to be going to Sweden only yesterday. From where I blog, I think it’s incredibly important that these guys get their at-bats in and I think the Oilers have done a fine job of finding spots for his prospects to play until the AHL season kicks off in December. Now, with COVID-19 still very much a reality, we don’t know for sure when the American Hockey League will commence, but in the meantime, Holland deserves some credit for making sure his blue chippers will be on the ice until then. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s appearance with a shout out to beer leaguers all over the country that have ice slots at midnight and still manage to make it into work the next morning. Rec hockey players of Canada, we salute you.
