Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we jumped in with a look at last night’s win and how the vibes in Edmonton are so much better after a few wins. Not only did the Oilers beat the Flames and Canucks this week, but the way they ground those wins out showed a level of resilience that we haven’t seen from them in a while now. Even though it’s old news at this point, we also wondered whether the shenanigans from last week’s press conference debacle may have also sparked something with the team as well. Now, no one is saying that arguing with the media is some kind of cure-all or anything like that, but maybe having such a weird moment during the darkness that was last week may have triggered something? Either way, there’s no doubt that the Oilers needed to find some kind of spark and that’s why it was so nice to see them win a pair of divisional games in the way they did.
