Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we got started with a look at tonight’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins and whether or not we should be nervous about the McDavid vs Crosby matchup since the latter always seems to get fired up for these types of games. While he may not be dominating the league as he used to earlier in his career, Sidney Crosby is still a force on the ice and the Oilers are going to have to be careful with him, especially with four of their six NHL defencemen out with injury. That chat about the defence led us to talk about the quietly sneaky season Cody Ceci has put in so far and how the team will surely miss him after he was placed on the COVID protocol list yesterday morning. While it is cool to see some of the youngsters step into these opportunities, the Oilers will need to play at their best if they’re looking to cash in another win here.
