Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while offering my takes on anything else that’s happening in the world.
We started this week’s segment by looking at Evander Kane’s turnaround over the last week or so and how that demotion to the third line against Winnipeg feels like a long time ago. There was a clip of Kane from the Heritage Classic on Sunday where he’s chirping the Flames about being unable to do anything, which led us to discuss Evander’s ability to chirp the opposition while backing it up with results. Yeah, there are a lot of guys that can talk, but not many can also cash those cheques. Changing gears, Grant asked what I think about the schedule and how the Oilers have four days between games. It’s awful, and these extended gaps between games make it hard for the boys to gain some momentum. In brighter news, we then looked at Sam Gagner signing a new contract with the Oilers and what to expect from Samwise’s third tour of duty in Edmonton. How much will he play? How much will he be able to contribute? Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s segment with a look at the #NationVacation to Arizona that just launched this morning and how this is an event that you will absolutely want to join us for.
Listen to this week’s segment below:
Check me out on The Lockerroom every Wednesday around 9:00 AM MT to hear my thoughts on the Oilers and life in general.
