Another Wednesday in lockdown is here, and that means a fresh opportunity for your ol’ pal Baggedmilk to jump on the air with the boys at The Locker Room to talk about what’s going on in the NHL, while also trying to have a few laughs at the same time.
To kick off this week’s appearance, we started in with a look at how everyone is staying saying during this time spent indoors and how it’s a struggle to adapt to the new norms even when you do leave your house. From arrows on the ground at the grocery store to people crossing the street to create distance when you’re out walking the dog, these adjustments have been coming in quickly and, at times, have been difficult to wrap one’s mind around. From there, we moved onto Bob Nicholson’s conference call from yesterday where he talked about the NHL’s commitment to getting the league back underway and how all sides will need to compromise if that’s ever going to happen. We also looked at the Oilers players coming together to donate $100,000 for COVID-19 relief and how it was nice to see these guys doing something to help those affected by the pandemic in our community.
