Better Baseball Goal: Crosby or Benning

In Edmonton’s 7-3 thumping of the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday, Matt Benning scored a ridiculous goal in which he, from behind the net, batted the puck off of Scott Darling’s back and into the net. But last night, in the Penguins’ 5-3 win over the Canadiens, Sidney Crosby might have one-upped Benning with an absurd road hockey goal.
I’ll refresh you with Benning’s goal first:
Now here’s Crosby’s goal:
This is absolutely absurd. Crosby has the puck flying towards him, he flips it up to himself, takes a stride, and then smacks it into the net mid-air on his backhand. This is some old fashioned road hockey nonsense, and the fact he pulled it off right in front of the net while being checked by Jeff Petry makes it all the more insane.
And here they both are back-to-back.
Anything you can do, I can do better. Crosby and Benning, who did it better?
So, what say you Nation? Which baseball-style goal was better? Does Benning get the nod because he picked up his own rebound and batted it in from behind the net? Or is Crosby’s double smack more impressive?
Connor McDavid has his teammate’s back.
When asked if he saw @penguins Sidney Crosby's goal last night @cmcdavid97 said "No but I saw @mbennzzzz goal the other night" .
