Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day!
The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Our first bet of the day is on Nazem Kadri to score 1+ power play point, with odds sitting at +200. This will be for half a unit.
Our second bet of the day is on Jonathan Huberdeau to score 1+ power play point, with odds sitting at +275. This will be for half a unit.
The Calgary Flames power play hasn’t exactly been good this year. In fact, they’ve actually been among the worst in the entire NHL this season, converting on 14.8 percent of their opportunities. Of the 31 man advantage goals they’ve scored, Kadri and Huberdeau have combined on seven of them.
It may seem crazy to stack these bets, but Daily Faceoff’s DFS Charts has the Calgary Flames scoring .73 expected power play goals tonight, in thanks to the Capitals’ terrible penalty kill. The odds are high, for obvious reasons, but this potential payoff is too rich to pass up. After all, all it takes is one.
We’re also going to put a full unit on both Kadri and Huberdeau to score a point. Kadri’s odds are -167, while Huberdeau’s are -143. Both players are projected to score over 1 point tonight, according to Daily Faceoff’s DFS Charts.
Our third bet of the day is on Jared McCann to score 1+ point, with odds sitting at -118.
Over his last 25 games, McCann has scored 13 goals and 30 points, cashing this prop in 18, and while he’s cashed this is just two of his last five, he has a great chance to do so again tonight. He and the Kraken’s top line look to be in a great spot against the Sabres tonight, and Daily Faceoff’s DFS Charts project him to score 1.4 points tonight, so this appears to be a smash spot for this bet.
