Cam Talbot activated from the Injured Reserve

According to their official Twitter account, the Oilers have activated Cam Talbot from the Injured Reserve.
Talbot was placed on the IR back on Nov. 29 with an upper body injury. He missed seven games during that span. Backup goalie Laurent Brossoit started all of the games in Talbot’s absence, posting an .890 save percentage.
The Oilers are entering a critical stretch of games against Western Conference opponents. They’ve dug themselves a massive hole in the first third of the season, and it’s going to be an incredibly difficult climb to work back into the playoff picture.
Having Talbot back will certainly help that cause. For the season, Talbot has a mediocre .903 save percentage over 22 games. But before going down with the, he was starting to find his groove. After the game in St. Louis in late November in which he was pulled after allowing two goals on three shots, Talbot posted a very solid .923 save percentage in three games before being placed on the IR.
