ORIGINAL: The Edmonton Oilers have added defencemen Darnell Nurse and William Lagesson to the COVID-19 protocols.
This makes them the sixth and seventh players, respectively, to be added to protocols in the last week. The club also assigned forwards Cooper Marody and Seth Griffith to the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors.

Already there are Ryan McLeod, Devin Shore, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Duncan Keith and Jesse Puljujarvi, as well as head coach Dave Tippett, who brings the overall total to eight.
The Oilers have had three games postponed this week as the league temporarily eliminated cross-border travel. One has to wonder if the league will shut down the Oilers, much like they have other teams.
