Edmonton Oilers assign Filip Berglund to SHL

The Edmonton Oilers have assigned defenceman Filip Berglund to Linkoping HC of the Swedish Hockey League.
The assignment is for the 2020-21 season. SHL teams are currently preparing to get their seasons underway.
Berglund, 23, finished his fourth season with Skelleftea AIK in the SHL where he scored five goals and 20 points in 52 games.
Drafted by the Oilers in the third round of the 2016 draft, the 6’3 right-shot rearguard has been growing his game in the SHL. In total, he’s appeared in 200 games over the last six seasons scoring 10 goals and 53 points.
