The NHL has named Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid as the second star of the week.
McDavid scored four goals and 10 points in four games last week for the Oilers as the team won three of four games. He opened the week with two games against the Jets scoring three goals and one assist in a 6-1 win April 26, and three assists in a 3-1 win April 28th, both against Winnipeg.
While he was held off the scoresheet in a 3-1 loss to the Flames on April 29, he came back two days later with a goal and two assists.
First star of the week went to Red Wings goalie Thomas Greiss, who stopped all 66 shots he faced across 130 minutes of regulation and overtime to earn two shutouts last week for the team.
Third start of the week was Islanders goalie Semyon Varlamov who also posted back to back shutouts stopping 53 shots last week.
