It&#8217;s been a long road to game 200, but Brad Malone hit the mark Tuesday night.

For Malone, he had been stuck at game 199 for three years prior to the game against the Philadelphia Flyers. It came in thanks to a fresh contract and a recent recall by the Oilers.
Originally drafted in the 4th round of the 2007 draft by the Colorado Avalanche, Malone went the NCAA route post-draft playing four years at the University of North Dakota. There he was an offensive threat in his final two years while also racking up PIM.
All in all, he finished his 161 game career with the Fighting Hawks, he scored 33 goals and 85 points while notching an impressive 331 PIM.
He joined the Avs in 2011-12 and spent three years in the organization before joining the Carolina Hurricanes in 2014-15. Over his career, he&#8217;s bounced between the AHL and NHL.
Malone has been in the Oilers organization since 2017 with the majority of his playing time with the AHL&#8217;s Bakersfield Condors. In 209 games there, he’s scored 55 goals and 141 points. With the Oilers in the NHL, he&#8217;s appeared in 23 games between the 2017-18 season and the 2018-19 season but hasn&#8217;t registered a point.
In the minors, he&#8217;s appeared in 445 games scoring 244 points, while in his 199 NHL games he&#8217;s scored 13 goals and 30 points.
