Edmonton Oilers Leon Draisaitl named first star of the week

Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl has been named the NHL’s first star of the week.
Draisaitl capped off a massive week scoring five goals and 10 points in just three games pushing him to the top of league scoring.
He scored two goals and four points against the Seattle Kraken on Nov. 1, then scored two goals and an assist two nights later against the Nashville Predators.
The week was capped off Friday night when Draisaitl scored the game-winning goal and added two assists in a massive, 6-5 comeback win over the New York Rangers.
Draisaitl had been named first star of the week twice before both times in Feb. 2020. Once for the week of Feb. 2, and again for the week of Feb. 16.
