The Edmonton Oilers have made a flurry of rosters moves that include assigning three players to the Bakersfield Condors, waiving a pair, and releasing one from a pro-try-out.
The Oilers announced Saturday that Cooper Marody, Markus Niemeläinen and Stuart Skinner to the Condors, while placing Adam Cracknell and Seth Griffith on waivers. The club also announced Ryan Stanton has been released from his pro tryout and will report to the Condors where he is under contract with the club.
Marody, 24, is entering his third year in the Oilers organization. He’s appeared in six games with the Oilers — all in the 2018-19 season — scoring no points. He’s appeared in 91 games with the Condors scoring 25 goals and 84 points.
Niemeläinen, 22, is entering his first year playing in North America after being drafted in the third round of the 2016 draft. He’s spent the last four years playing in the Finnish Liiga scoring 18 points in 161 games.
Skinner, 22, played in 41 games with the Condors last year posting a .892 save percentage.
Cracknell and Griffith were both signed by the Oilers this past offseason to one-year contracts.
