A trio of Edmonton Oilers players have entered COVID-19 protocols.
The Oilers will be without Connor McDavid, Derek Ryan and Tyson Barrie Wednesday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Edmonton also made a few other roster moves activating Zack Kassian from COVID-19 protocols while placing Ryan Nugent-Hopkins on the injured reserve. The team also announced Ilya Konovalov would be loaned to the taxi squad.
Mike Smith returns Wednesday for the Oilers and will get the start in net. He missed the last game with an upper-body injury.
