The Edmonton Oilers have recalled D Matt Benning from the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League.
Benning, 24, was with the Condors on a conditioning stint and played in three games.
Benning had a good showing in three games scoring one assist in three games. He was a +1 in those games.
Recovering from two concussions suffered this fall, these were the first games the rearguard had played since December. It’s a good sign that he got into the action in the American League and it’s safe to assume we’ll be seeing Benning back in the lineup sooner rather than later.
