Former Edmonton Oilers assistant coach Manny Viveiros has another pro hockey coaching job.
Viveiros will be manning the bench for the Vegas Golden Knights’ new AHL club, the Henderson Silver Knights.
Viveiros, 54, worked for the Oilers during the 2018-19 season as an assistant coach. He was highly acclaimed coming out of the WHL’s Swift Current where he worked as head coach, general manager and director of player personnel between 2016-18.
This past year the St. Albert native served as the head coach for the WHL’s Spokane Chiefs.
As a player, he was drafted by the Oilers in the sixth round of the 1984 draft but never played an NHL game for Edmonton.
