Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
The last time the Oilers and Lightning squared off, the boys ended up coughing up a two-goal lead on their way to what was a very disappointing loss. That game was there for the taking, and they absolutely duffed the ending. The good news is that the team looks like a completely different entity than the one that was losing all those games earlier in the year. That said, nothing comes easy in this league, and if the Oilers plan to keep their winning streak alive, we’ll need another strong effort and we’ll need the boys to make it happen for 60 minutes. There were too many lulls in their play over the course of the night against the Blackhawks, and while it didn’t stop them from winning the game, I don’t know that the same thing will work against a better Tampa team.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’m using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Player Prop:
Connor McDavid to register 1+ power play point at +100. My $5 bet would return $10.00.
Easy Money:
Over 1.5 total power play goals at -140. My $5 bet would return $8.57.
Risky Business:
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score +333. My $5 bet would return $21.66.
Can’t Miss Parlay:
Edmonton Oilers to win + over 5.5 total goals at +125. My $5 bet would return $11.25.

Last Game
Pain. Suffering. Fewer dollars in my jeans. How did this happen? Lol. That’s betting, baby.
Here’s what I bet against the Blackhawks:
Evan Bouchard over 2.5 shots at +100.Oilers to get over 32 shots on goal at -110.Connor McDavid to score 2+ goals at +450.Oilers to win and over 6.5 total goals at +105.
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Lightning.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
