We love and appreciate the Edmonton Oilers dominating the Vegas Golden Knights in this house. 7-4 win, baby. Below are the highlights from the game…
GAME HIGHLIGHTS ARE PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Jonathan Marchessault broke open the scoring a minute into the game. A puck bobbled through the Oilers’ defensive zone, and credit to Marchessault who was at the right place at the right time. Not great to see Edmonton give up another early lead, but they responded well.
Evan Bouchard responded well, firing home a wrist shot seven seconds into a powerplay opportunity. His confidence is growing more and more and this shot is a great example of it. Man, can he shoot the puck.
evan bouchard makes it a 1-1 game.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who set up Bouchard on the previous goal, kept his night rolling. Hard on the forecheck, the Oilers forced a turnover and he was Johnny-on-the-spot to pick it up and fire one home.
ryan nugent-hopkins makes it 2-1.
As much as Bouchard’s offensive game has flourished, he’s still learning defensively and this was another one of those learning lesson plays. Before people jump on Bouchard for things like these let’s remember that Tyson Barrie had many of these while being the lone defenceman on the powerplay.
william karlsson makes it 2-2.
The Big Man Leon Draisaitl kept rolling scoring goal 47 of the year with 9:48 left in the first and the Oilers would carry that 3-2 lead into the second.
leon draisaitl 47th makes it 3-2.
Philip Broberg found himself on the unlucky side of things early in the third. He just tried to make a simple play and the puck bounced in front to Michael Amadio. Such is life.
michael amadio ties the game at 3.
From there, the flood gates opened for the Oilers and they laid it on heavy. Over the next 12 minutes, Darnell Nurse, Evander Kane and Zach Hyman would all find the back of the net.
darnell nurse gives the oilers a 4-3 lead.
zach hyman scores — and ryan nugent-hopkins gets his fifth point of the night — as the oilers take a 6-3 lead.
We saw a few late goals in the game, too. Brett Kulak picked the opposite corner after coming out of the penalty box 4:24 into the third, and with 1:32 left in the game, Marchessault scored his second of the game.
brett kulak rips one home to extend the oilers' lead to 7-3.
jonathan marchessault cuts the oilers' lead to three.
