Shortly after killing off a 5-on-3 power play, the Oilers extended their lead to 2-0. Leon Draisaitl came out of the penalty box and fed Zach Hyman on a 2-on-1 and the winger tucked the puck underneath Markstrom’s pads.

The Oilers pulled two goals ahead again in the third period. Vincent Deshanris threw a knuckleball on goal from the point and it bounced past Markstrom to give Edmonton a 4-2 lead.
The goal was originally given to Evander Kane but it was changed to Deshanrias after the game. That’s the first career NHL goal for the seventh-round pick.
