<p>The Oilers opened the scoring about halfway through the first period when the team&#8217;s second power-play unit converted. Darnell Nurse fired a shot from the top of the faceoff circle that bounced off of the post and goaltender Kevin Lankinen&#8217;s pad and into the net.</p>

<p>The announcement of the goal had just started when the Predators tied the game at 1-1 just 25 seconds later. Filip Forsberg carried the puck around Edmonton&#8217;s net and Jack Campbell wasn&#8217;t able to move from post to post quickly enough.</p>

<p>Nashville pulled ahead 2-1 just 23 seconds into the second period. Forsberg threw a wrist shot on the net and Ryan O&#8217;Reilly won a puck battle in front of Nurse and buried the rebound past Campbell.</p>
