This afternoon, the fine folks of North Battleford, Saskatchewan, lined the sides of Highway 16 with their cars adorned by the #12 in tribute to Colby Cave and the sight is something to behold.
Starting early in the day, the Saskatchewan community of North Battleford lined the side of Highway 16 with vehicles as part of a procession to pay tribute and offer messages of support and condolence to the Cave family after his tragic passing on Saturday morning.
Former Edmonton Oilers defenceman, Eric Gryba, was also in attendance and one of the biggest champions of the procession, calling upon his followers to join in via his social media channels.
Heart wrenching. #RIPCAVER
Even with everything going on in the world, there were reportedly cars lined along the side of the road for kilometres as people waited to pay their respects. Needless to say, the whole thing was incredibly touching and befitting of the wonderful human being that was lost.

From all of us here at Oilersnation, I just wanted to say thank you to all of the people that showed up to pay their respects today. Not only was the level of support for this tribute amazing to see, but the gesture itself was unbelievably kind and heartwarming. Well done, everyone. This was beautiful.
