<p>Amid all of the free agent news and signings happening on July 1st, the Oilers announced via their social media channels that the 2023-24 season will kick off on October 9th against the Winnipeg Jets at Rogers Place.</p>

After taking the Stanley Cup Final to seven games, fans won&#8217;t have to wait long before seeing what the team can do to follow up on what was undoubtedly a rollercoaster ride in Edmonton this spring. The Oilers and Jets have battled each other very hard over the last handful of seasons, making this upcoming season opener a fiery way to start the 2024-25 campaign.</p>
