The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the day. All bets are for one unit unless otherwise noted.
Our first bet of the day will be taking Nathan MacKinnon to take over 4.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at -163.
MacKinnon comes into this game averaging almost 5.5 shots on goal per game hitting this prop in three of his last five games and in 20/35 games this season. He’s got a great matchup tonight against the Anaheim Ducsk, who in their last five games have given up 38.93 shots against per hour.

Our second bet of the day will be taking the Pittsburgh Penguins on the moneyline. These odds sit at +100.
The Penguins come into this matchup against the Washington Capitals going 3-0-2 in their last five games. At 5×5, they’ve controlled 54.02 percent of the shot attempts, 61.11 percent of the goals scored and 56.59 percent of the expected goal share.
The Caps, meanwhile, have gone 2-3 in their last five — dropping three straight — while holding their own at 5×5. At 5×5, they’ve controlled 54.24 percent of the shot attempts, 40 percent of the goals scored and 58.25 percent of the expected goals.
This should be a tight game between two good teams, but I like Pittsburgh odds of coming out on top.
