The Bets of the Day is brought to you by NHL betting site Betway!
Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the day. All bets are for one unit unless otherwise noted.
Our first bet of the day will be taking Timo Meier to take over 4.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at -125.
The league’s highest-volume shooter, Meier is in a great spot against a Montreal Canadiens team giving up 32.74 shots per hour in their last five games, the 11th worst rate in the league.
Meier, meanwhile, is averaging 4.95 shots on goal per game this season hitting this prop in 15 of 24 games this year, and in three of his last five games.

Our second bet of the day will be taking Martin Necas to take over 2.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at -150.
Necas is second on the Hurricanes in shots on goal taking 72 in 22 games for an average of 3.27 per game. He’s hit this prop in four of his last five games, and in 15 of 22 on the year.
The ‘Canes take on the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight, a team that has surprisingly allowed lots of shots. In their last five, they’ve given up 33.31 per hour, the seventh-worst rate in the league.
Record: 49-35 (+15.35u)
