The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day. All bets are for one unit unless otherwise noted.
Our first bet of the day will be taking Matthew Tkachuk to take over 3.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at -118.
It’s been a tale of the home and road splits for Matthew Tkachuk’s shot prop this year. Accounting for both the regular season and home games this season, Tkachuk has cashed this prop in 29/46 home games (63 percent) and in just 20/51 on the road (39%).
It’s a staggering prop, but it’s why we’re jumping in on this one here tonight. The implied odds on the -118 line say the probability of this bet cashing is 54 percent — nine points lower than what it’s clipped at this season.
In his last five games, he’s cashed this prop in three games but in just one of two so far against the Vegas Golden Knights. Florida will need Tkachuk to reel in his game tonight for a pivotal game three in the Stanley Cup Finals.
