Over the weekend, the Edmonton Oilers went into San Jose and gave it to the Sharks defeating them 6-1. After the win, the Oilers are now two points behind the Vegas Golden Knights for first in the Pacific Division, and then five points ahead of the Los Angeles Kings. With only two games left, can the Oilers still capture first in the division?
After Ryan Nugent-Hopkins goals to open the scoring on Saturday, an unfortunate turnover from Jason Demers helped get San Jose right back into the game. However, the Oilers had short memories of the mistake and went on to score five goals. Connor McDavid scored a pair to help take his tally to 151 points on the season becoming 6th player in NHL history to achieve that points total. Zach Hyman, Derek Ryan and Philip Broberg found the back of the net.
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will be on Oilersnation Everyday to break down what happened on Saturday. If you have something you would like to contribute to the conversation, you can talk to them in the live chat on the Oilersnation YouTube channel.
