Tonight, the Edmonton Oilers host the Minnesota Wild at Rogers Place for their second home game in three nights. The two Western Conference opponents have faced off twice this season with each team grabbing two points.
The Wild are heading into this Friday night game off the back of a 6-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets. However, it was just this past Monday that they put ten by the Vancouver Canucks on home ice. Kirill Kaprizov leads the charge for Minnesota with 24 goals and 59 points in 49 games. However, the biggest story out of the State of Hockey this season is the play of Brock Faber who is neck and neck with Connor Bedard for the Calder Trophy.
Of course, the Edmonton Oilers fell 6-5 in overtime to the Boston Bruins on Wednesday in a thrilling game. Today’s main objective is to have a strong second period because recently it has been just awful.
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live for Oilersnation Everyday at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. They will preview tonight’s action down at Rogers Place with help from Jay Downton for a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show edition of Oilersnation Everyday. If you have anything you’d like to contribute to the conversation, leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centre YouTube chat.
Later in the show, the guys will take a look around the NHL and see what happened in the league in the last 24 hours.
Viewers can catch Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin on Oilersnation Everyday on the Oilersnation YouTube Channel. You can also view the show on Twitter and Facebook. After the show has streamed live, you can find it on all your podcast providers.
