The Edmonton Oilers hit the ice for the first time since beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-0 on Sunday night. Tomorrow night, they will take on the Washington Capitals back at Rogers Place. It will be the second and final matchup between the two teams after the Oilers beat the Capitals 5-0 in their last meeting. Connor McDavid grabbed four assists that night and a pair of goals from Leon Draisaitl helped guide Edmonton to victory. Fingers crossed we see more of the same tomorrow night.
Until then, there is still plenty to talk about surrounding the Edmonton Oilers. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live on the Oilersnation YouTube channel at noon for Oilersnation Everyday. During the show, they want to hear from you. Head to the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live to leave your questions, comments and concerns.
Also on today’s show, even though the NHL trade deadline has passed the rumours continue to swirl around the NHL. Elliotte Friedman reported that Cody Ceci was not moved because his teammates like having him around. Is this the right approach from the Oilers or did they need to be more cut throat? Additionally, reports are coming out about another franchise head back to Atlanta and news dropped today about the 2024/25 NHL Global Series.
Finally, Tyler and Liam will review the Western Conference and find out where the Oilers rank amongst the rest.
Viewers can catch Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin on Oilersnation Everyday on the Oilersnation YouTube Channel. You can also view the show on Twitter and Facebook. After the show has streamed live, you can find it on all your podcast providers.
