However, that was the only ounce of success the Blackhawks found last night.
From then on, the Oilers took control of the game, entering the first intermission with a 2-1 lead. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins opened the scoring for Edmonton, tucking home his sixth of the season just under the crossbar. Shortly after, Sam Gagner scored the second with his fourth. In the back 40, Leon Draisaitl got a fortunate bounce that beat Petr Mrazek, and <a href="https://oilersnation.com/news/game-highlights-26-0-edmonton-oilers-beat-chicago-blackhawks-4-1">Zach Hyman sealed the win</a> with a powerplay goal in the third.
