The Edmonton Oilers head into game 7 tonight versus the Vancovuer Canucks at Rogers Arena, after a 5-1 victory in game 6. The last time Edmonton was in a game 7 they beat the Los Angeles Kings 2-0 in 2022. As for the Canucks, it was in Edmonton in the bubble versus the Vegas Golden Knights when they lost 3-0.
Before talking about tonight, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will dive into what happened in game 6. The Oilers showed up in a big way with Dylan Holloway setting the tone with a fantastic goal in the first period. The Canucks responded but the Oilers took full control after that with goals from Zach Hyman, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Evan Bouchard and Evander Kane. While the stars didn’t show up in game 5, they sure did in game 6 but the question remains will they in game 7?
Tyler and Liam will dive in that question and more on Oilersnation Everyday which goes live at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Want your thoughts on the show? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat throughout the program. Jay Downton is also around for the show for what will be a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition.
Today’s show is also loaded with guests with Jason Demers, Frank Seravalli and DJ Bean all swinging by throughout. Frank is boots on the ground in Vancouver so they’ll get a vibe check from him. With Jason Demers, they’ll ask him the pressure of a playing in a game 7. And finally with DJ Bean they’ll dive into what he thinks the Oilers need to do to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
Viewers can catch Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin on Oilersnation Everyday on the Oilersnation YouTube Channel. You can also view the show on Twitter and Facebook. After the show has streamed live, you can find it on all your podcast providers.
