The Edmonton Oilers return home tonight for a Game 5 match up versus the Los Angeles Kings. The Oilers went on the road over the weekend and brought back two wins to take a 3-1 series lead. A win tonight sees them through to the second round for the third year in a row to take on either the Vancouver Canucks or Nashville Predators.
Heading into Game 5, it looks like head coach Kris Knoblauch has made some adjustments to his lineup. Dylan Holloway has been elevated to the third line after another strong performance in Game 4. Meanwhile, Warren Foegele, who has struggled to find his game in the series so far, found himself on the fourth line at practice yesterday alongside Mattias Janmark and Derek Ryan. Everything else looks to be staying the same.
What do you make of the lineup changes? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will take a look at them along with everything else to get you prepared for tonight’s Game 5 action. Want your thoughts on the show? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat throughout the show. Also, Jay Downton is on today’s program for a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition of Oilersnation Everyday.
Later in the show, former Edmonton Oiler and NHLer Jason Demers joins Tyler, Liam and Jay. Demers will give his thoughts on the Oilers performances in Games 3 and 4, which was almost the complete opposite of each other. Additionally, they’ll get his predictions on what goes down tonight at Rogers Place.
