The Edmonton Oilers were involved in another tight playoff-like hockey game last night against the Colorado Avalanche. After going down 1-0 in the first period, the Oilers responded immediately with a heavy shot from Mattias Ekholm to tie things up at one apiece. Neither team could score another in regulation sending the game to overtime. Avalanche defenceman, Bowen Byram took a hooking penalty on Connor McDavid which led to a 4-on-3 powerplay for Edmonton. Evan Bouchard capitalized on the opportunity with his 7th of the season giving the Oilers a 2-1 victory.
Tyler Yaremchuk will break down last night’s action with his three big things. Join the conversation over on the Oilersnation YouTube channel in the live chat, and let Tyler know what you thought of the game.
Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff will also drop by the show. The two of them will talk about the latest news around the Edmonton Oilers and the final few days of the regular season. Finally, Tyler and Liam will reveal their ballots for the NHL awards.
