The Edmonton Oilers had a productive day one of NHL free agency signing Vitkor Arvidsson from the Los Angeles Kings and Josh Brown from the Arizona Coyotes. Jeff Jackson was busy bringing back Connor Brown on a 1 year $1 million deal too, along with a few minor league deals including the return of Noah Philp.
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live for Oilersnation Everyday on the Oilersnation YouTube channel to talk about what went down today. How would you grade the opening day of free agency for the Oilers? The guys want to hear from you so leave your questions, comments and concerns in the YouTube live chat throughout the program. Tyler and Liam strongly encourage you interact with them and the other Nation Citizens in the chat.
With the positives come the negatives on days like this in the NHL. Warren Foegele signed with the Los Angeles Kings on a three-year deal after spending the previous three in Edmonton. Additionally, Sam Carrick signed a three-year deal in the Big Apple with the New York Rangers.
Once Tyler and Liam wrap up all the Oilers talk, they’ll also dive into the news from around the NHL. The Nashville Predators made a few huge splashes signing the top three free agents on Frank Seravalli’s trade board: Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault and Brady Skjei. The Seattle Kraken followed a similar pattern grabbing Brandon Montour from the Florida Panthers and Chandler Stephanson from the Vegas Golden Knights.
