Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers @ Vancouver Canucks

Dec 23, 2019, 16:00 ESTUpdated: Dec 23, 2019, 14:57 EST
After taking down the @Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night, the Edmonton Oilers will look to win a second straight game for the first time since November 24th tonight as they head to Vancouver to take on a Canucks team that sits just four points back of the Oilers with two games in hand. This is their final game until the Christmas break but the Oilers cannot afford to mail it in early. This is a crucial game for them and their playoff hopes.
The Oilers have played very well against the Pacific Division with a record of 8-3-1 so far this season and it’s a big reason why they’ve been able to stay in the playoff picture. They’ve also beaten the Canucks twice already this season including once in Vancouver earlier this month. Vancouver has been playing some decent hockey as of late with wins in back-to-back games but they are very banged up right now. They’ll be without a handful of regulars including Alexander Edler.
I take you through the expected lineups for both sides and give you some key numbers ahead of tonight’s game in the Pre Game Pod (pres. by YEG Burger)! Download it right here in the article or by heading to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Google Play!
