Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers vs Arizona Coyotes

Jan 18, 2020, 12:45 ESTUpdated: Jan 18, 2020, 12:42 EST
The Oilers will take to the ice one more time before their long break begins. After today’s game against the Coyotes, the Oilers will have ten days off before their next game, which happens to be against the @Calgary Flames. Considering how tight the Pacific Division is, Edmonton can’t afford to look past this afternoon’s game though. This is a massive opportunity for the Oilers.
A win for the Oilers would move them into a tie for the top spot in the Pacific Division while a loss would almost guarantee that they’ll be sitting outside of a playoff spot when they return from their time off. They’ve played the Coyotes pretty well so far this season, winning one game and dropping the other in overtime, and they’ll need a good effort tonight if they want to beat @Antti Raanta, who is making his first start in over a week. @Mike Smith will get the nod for the Oilers after another strong performance on Tuesday against the @Nashville Predators.
I preview today’s matchup in the Pre Game Pod (pres. by YEG Burger) which you can download by clicking the link right here in the article or by heading to Apple/Spotify/Google Play!
