Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers vs Calgary Flames

Jan 29, 2020, 13:23 ESTUpdated: Jan 29, 2020, 15:05 EST
After a ten-day hiatus, the Oilers return to the ice tonight and start their sprint to the playoffs with a massive match up against the Calgary Flames. As expected, there is no shortage of story lines heading into tonight’s game. The two points are obviously the biggest priority for both sides with the Oilers currently trailing their provincial rivals by just one point in the Pacific Division standings but there’s also the Tkachuk/Kassian beef that has both fan bases buzzing. It should be a wildly entertaining night at Rogers Place.
Since their last meeting on January 11th, these two teams have been close to polar opposites. The Flames have just one win in four games while the Oilers have won two in a row. Of course, the Flames have dominated the BOA so far this season with two wins under their belt and last time they met in Edmonton, the Flames embarrassed the Oilers. Considering how tight the division is, the Oilers can hardly afford to drop a third consecutive game to the Flames.
I dissect some pre-game audio from both sides of the Battle of Alberta and went through tonight’s lineups. You can download the podcast, which is presented by YEG Burger, right here in the article or by heading to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Google Play!
